Chris’s recent retirement provides a great opportunity to mark his huge professional contribution over more than four decades. The Nutrition Society of Australia (NSA) and Australian Institute of Food and Nutrition (AIFST) are jointly organising a celebratory lunch. All members of those organisations are warmly invited to attend. We are currently seeking to finalise arrangements. For that, we need to know how many people are planning to attend. We anticipate that the cost will cover a two-course lunch. Chromy wines (and other beverages) will be available at your own expense. You may also wish to make a modest contribution towards a gift for Chris.
Chris has had a distinguished career in nutrition and food science, based at the military nutrition research centre at Scottsdale. His 44 years there must be the longest professional career in nutrition ever within Tasmania. He made tremendous contributions regard to military food and nutrition issues. He also played key roles in both the NSA and AIFST, both at Tasmanian and national levels. Speakers will include the guest of honour, Chris Forbes-Ewan and we also hope to prevail upon another prominent industry name. We anticipate that attendees will be able to count the event towards their annual professional CPD points requirement.
